The Funhouse
Toronto, ON
An Immersive Art-maze Experience
Produced in partnership with Universal Music Canada, The Funhouse was an immersive pop-up experience and event space that transformed a former 3-storey Buddhist temple into an imaginary 1940s inter-dimensional hotel. Guests were invited to walk through a wardrobe and discover an alternate universe full of art, interactive tech and music.
As Creative Director, I led a large production team of 30+ visual artists, techs and fabricators, and was responsible for designing 20 unique immersive environments. In addition, I was in charge of building an Augmented Reality App, which consisted of curating collaborations between animators + visual artists.
During the 7 month pop-up I co-produced several themed events such as: a haunted experience, a masquerade ball and four intimate live acoustic concerts by renowned Canadian rock band METRIC.
